Crossmember issues........

Jus recently i started to hear a clanking noise under the car,,,only happens on very few occassions when i go in a little hole or over a hump or anythin of the sort,,,looked under the car and the engine or crank case or whatever resting on the crossmember.
Was thinkin the mounts burst or somethin so i changed all four,,,same situation,,,changed the cross member an all same thing............engine still restin on the cross.......

What to do?

Cradle arm Bushings, Ball Joint...did you check?

From what i reading your engine bell housing touching the crossmember bar?
You sure its the crossmember bar making the noise cause as biggie said you could have other issues that is causing the noise.
There is no way that the engine should ever touch the crossmember bar with all the mounts good.Unless the cross bar bend.
Are you sure this is the correct engine for the car and if so was any mounts ever fabricated to hold the engine in place?
Can you put up an image of this engine resting on the cross bar?

the car went up on a ramp recently and everything checked out ok,,,i changed the cross and all,,, same prob....

100% sure is the correct engine,,,my second ck,,,know these cars pretty well,,,apparently not well enough....

Tried foreign mounts and all,,,same prob.....

similar problem with mine atm, used some spacers and it solved it for a while. Recently installed some poly spacers and it solved the problem.

did you change the stabilization bar rubbers had that issue sometime ago and it turned out to be that

Yep. Changed both. Pain in the arse to change tho but I did it
