Code No. P0170: Abnormal Fuel System

hello,
well as the title says, i have a check light on my evo 7 saying abnormal fuel system.
has anyone here had this problem ?

did a bit of reading and found that these are the possible causes.

Failed fuel supply system
Failed oxygen sensor (front)
Failed intake air temperature sensor
Failed engine coolant temperature sensor
Failed manifold absolute pressure sensor
Air drawn in from inlet hose and inlet manifold
Exhaust leak from exhaust manifold
Contamination of throttle body (throttle valve portion)
Failed injector
Failed purge control solenoid valve
Failed fuel pressure
Failed engine-ECU

also can someone direct me where to locate the intake temp sensor, engine coolant temp sensor, manifold absolute sensor.

Dont drive an Evo but lancers are close enough too it.
If you havnt changed anything in the car recently rule out the simplest things first, i would look at vacuum hoses first and maybe check your map. Then see if any of the o2 sensors are bad as this cud cause the car to run lean and may throw the code.

All the fancy words you using there can be simplified but dont quote me on them
intake temp sensor- as the name suggest should be on the intake manifold close to the map
engine coolant temp sensor- thermostat sensor( should be on the thermostat housing, upper rad hose should lead to thermo housing )
manifold absolute sensor-map sensor (should be close to throttle body or on the intake manifold)

I suggest you try to get a hold of a manual if you can and do some research to get more familiar with your engine.

thanks for your help nissan4life. i will post on those sites , and I'll start hunting for a manual, the one i have does not list this particular code.
