GDI replacement options

Postby insaneindian » December 19th, 2014, 8:27 am

Mitsu gurus and fellow owners, I need your advice....

I have a 4g93 GDI in a galant, looking to replace with something a little more economical, powerful and able to be boosted.

I was thinking maybe a 6 cylinder mivec???

I dont want to douglarize the car so strictly mitsubishi engines for replacement.

Any ideas???

Well if you want more power, especially turbo, the engine would of course be less economical. But if you want to stay mits, why not go all the way and get a 6a13tt :P

You could also consider the 6a12 mivec.

go with SOHC 4g93 from the ck6.

why?

because theres plenty gearboxes around for it.
the turbo from the dohc gsr 93t could transfer.
and it keeps the vehicle fwd.

It has been done already locally.

It pulls and sounds great.
