anywhere from 12-16,000$ depending on how greedy the place is. You might hear prices of 18-20K as well.

I've seen quite a few evo 4 front cuts for 25K complete and an evo 5 front cut for 30 with everything or 25k without body parts....then theres evo 3 shells for 40-50K i've seen, dunno if they decided to jack up the prices.

But if i have to bring down an evo, i'll bring an evo7. They wont cost me no more than 60K when it comes scrapped....But it makes no sense to me anymore, seeing that i know the entire work around on how to get a cedia rwd or 4wd. So i'll be making my CS2's and CS3's rwd and 4wd when im ready instead of wasting money bringing a shell for parts.

Pros:
-Quick
-Sounds Nice
-Good on Gas (To me)
-Reliable
-Easy Maintenance
-Fast for 4.5-5psi boost

Cons:
-Runs 4.5-5psi boost only
-Not much modifications out there
-High ass compression for people who want to tune/modify
-tiny turbo
-Heard people say problems revving past 5500rpm using a gearbox(i think they use 4g18 box)
-Fuel system complicated to do heavy modifications

Thats for me.

I run 2.25" exhaust, with resonators, front mount intercooler, 2.25" intercooler piping and an HKS SSQV3 blowoff valve. Its pretty decent

I still want to run about 8psi boost on the stock turbo and see what can happen. Then later on, raise the high pressure pump's fuel pressure when putting on a decent sized turbo to run about 12psi, and custom made manifold extractor type as well as putting an emanage or aem fic for safety.

pros
450km on full tank --- boost mileage goes out
bolt for bolt on cs
4-5 psi boost stock is nice
doesnt give that much trouble once u do maintenance.
GDI feature , when its off the engine responds totally different .
easy to find parts in the bamboo, almost every place i went had a engine or front cut for sale or for parts. , never realised that.
transmission what ive read can handle a lot of stress compared to the cvt.
it has a lot of mods we can do but just getting the right person to do it.
lancermotoringclub.com has a big page on these engines and what u can do with them .

CONS
not easy to reach stuff engine compartment full
carbon build up in the throttle body ,plugs{ maintenance it goes away}
small turbo only can go to 10 before boost cut. yet some ppl on forums pass that with the proper tune.
engine bay heat { havent solved that as yet........}
fuel pump in engine bay, throttle body failures , never got those .

thats all i cant think of for now.

If it came from factory outfitted like a 4G93T the GDI Turbo would out perform its older brother because of the knock killing pre-injection during compression stroke. As can be seen with Hyundai who brought Mitsubishi GDI tech an using it their new KIA and Hyundai sports cars. Since it was a new tech at the time I think Mitsubishi engineers went extra easy on the Turbo charged GDI.

Image

2.0T GDI turbo
Hyundai Sonata GDI 2.0 Turbocharged (2011~)
Kia Optima GDI 2.0 Turbocharged (2011~)
Kia Sportage GDI 2.0 Turbocharged (2011~)

The Theta engine is turbocharged for use in the Genesis Coupe. In this form it produces 210 hp (213 PS) @ 6,000 rpm on 87 octane (AKI) gasoline, and 223 hp (226 PS) on 93 AKI. Torque remains the same at 223 lb·ft (302 N·m) @ 2000 rpm. The Theta block used is very similar to the Mitsubishi Evolution X 4B11T, as core components like pistons and rods are said should move freely between them[1], however, the two engines are not identical.
The turbo used is a Mitsubishi TD04 model. In stock trim this unit pushes a peak of approx. 16-18psi with a sustained 14psi. This value can be changed with a boost controller and tuning.
The 2.0L GDI turbo in 2011 Sonata develops 274 hp (278 PS) and 269 lb·ft (365 N·m) of torque. The fuel economy is rated at 22mpg (10.7L / 100KM) in the city and 34mpg (6.92L / 100KM) on the highway. It comes exclusively with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine has a maximum boost of 17psi and features a twin-scroll turbocharger.

Someone wanted to raise fuel pressure? The Raising the fuel pressure at the H/P pump does nothing eh. The ECU will sense that an compansate with a pull back on the injection pulse. Also dont know if emanage can handle dual injection mode and also the high injector current.

Best way to do it is to reflash the ECU into submission.

As far as i know All mitsubishi ECUs can be Reprogrammed

that means removing limiters which is the very basic thing that can be done.......... to full fledged remapping / re-tuning
