HEY GUYS, I HAVE A BP5 TURBO WAGON AND I REALLY WANNA GET IT SOLD CUZ I HAVE ANOTHER BL5 TURBO AND A BMW. The engine is knocking and it could take a lil paint job. I was saying $110 minus 20 for engine and 10 for the paint job leaves us with 80. I willing to take 75 as is. Serious enquiries only. 3103845

Alot of the JDM legacies come with 215/45/18 re050 potenza...nice tyre.. low treadwear..140..however most times they are really exhausted with alot of Km's on them

i'd say avoid the nexxen's..the side wall reinforcement is poor..so cornering at speeds may compromise the tyre..you can try the sumitomo htrz3...gr8 tyre..good AA rating..300 treadwear..

You can also try the Toyo T1R. Not sure if Mileage Mack still sells them..but gr8 tyre.

Well I bought the car over a year now. The engine was pulled in May of 2014 due to a damaged rod bearing (#2 IIRC). That was the only work which required the engine and transmission to be separated.

I do drive the car hard sometimes but I try my best not to stress the transmission too much. For example I don't 'gear down' aggressively to slow down the car and I don't rev the car all the way to the limiter. Most of the hard driving is done in sport mode.

Well on Monday morning the car started to make a slight noise which sounded like slight detonation. I was thinking that it was the gas. By Tuesday it started to sound similar to rod knock but not as bad and it was not a constant noise. I passed by the mechanic and he said that its not comming from in the engine since it sounds louder when yur sitting in the car. It sounds like its comming from the transmission tunnel by the torque converter housing. He did say that he had a customer whose car had a cracked flex plate which sounded pretty similar.

That I can agree with. They are really nice cars. Well I already ordered a new one and I'm going to start the removal process in the morning. I only hope that is the problem because I will feel sick if I do all that work and still not find the problem. Lol

Well I started to scrap out some stuff today. Hopefully tomorrow I will pull the transmission and see for sure if the flex plate is the problem.

Fun is joke. After some pain we finally dropped the transmission yesterday. The bad news is the flex plate seems to be in good condition. But since I already ordered the new one I will go ahead and change it when it arrives. The other bad news is that one of the revolution sensors was broken during the removal process. Does anyone know where I might get a used one to replace it? The sensor is the one that the red arrow is pointing to.
