WTK Installing Prosport Electronic Oil Pressure Gauge

Postby Nik » April 18th, 2011, 9:14 pm

Good day Subaru tuners

I am trying to install the mentioned gauge in my brother's 02 WRX. From the install instructions it says I need a sensor attachment (Oil Filter Adapter Plate/Sandwich Adapter) which should look like this...

& with filter attached...

or i can use the "Subaru Oil Galley Plug"

& attach the sender unit to it. (this replaces any one of the three stock oil galley locations. Location under intercooler is easiest of the three)

this is the sender unit which came with the gauge with a 1/8"NPT thread pitch

so here are my questions... which is the better spot (for most accurate readings) to install the sender unit & where can i buy these extra attachments (Oil Filter Adapter Plate/Sandwich Adapter, Subaru Oil Galley Plug), locally.

thanks.

the oil galley plug is the best option, since using the sandwich adapter will lower the oil filter and it may be more prone to road damage....

^^^ x2 ... and since is a prosport unit you are using , i think you should get a 12" steel braided line to bring the sending unit from under the intercooler.
