07 Legacy Exhaust

Postby swordsman » April 26th, 2011, 1:22 pm

Just purchased an 07 Legacy runs like a dream. however i wanted to upgrade the exhaust..but not sure which system would give me the most hp gains with minimal noise... any help would be appreciated peeps!!!

Also anyone knows where i can get a P.Steering pump for the Legacy @ a reasonable price? and if it makes sense replacing my current P.Steering pump with another original subie pump, since the subie pump started leaking after abt 48k km..

:D

its all according to what type of sound you looking for..

the exhaust itself doesn't really make much gain..its the downpipe from the turbo that really makes the big difference..

my honest advice is to get a good downpipe..check out cobb racing, HKS, perrin & AVO..however if its too expensive..you can check Farley (JForce) in Barataria..almost all the legacy in trinidad he has did the exhaust. He can custom fabricate the downpipe to suite, he also does very neat work..

But after you install the downpipe you should also tune the ECU because you won't really see any gain unless u tune..

For Tuning you can check out ECUTEK..

i am talkin based on my experience..

Welcome Swordsman
Congrats on the purchase :D

Ecutek-Jason Laing 6818605

I ran the entire exhaust system from Farley-and then I tuned-no complaints.
There are pics on the where we meet thread.

Welcome again

^ i have those exhausts to sell

bolt on and should sound close to stock

my 07 car came with it and it was very silent

i changed my downpipe and removed my CAT and its very loud now,
so if you want to keep it quiet i suggest you leave your stock downpipe and CAT and just put in a pair of barrels

try changing the seals on the P.S. pump before the whole pump itself ....

ECUTEK is veryy good..no doubt about it.

However its also expensive..i believe its la few thousand to get the license and for your first tune.

I myself thought this was a bit expensive and i've been using Opensource ECU tuning..which in my opinion is excellent..but at the end of the day it all depends on your tuner..
For Subaru tuning..Check out Sidken Racing 681-0632 in deigo martin..

Very cool guy to work with and also very reasonable price to tune..
