jasma is more of a standard. But you can generally be certain that the exhausts that are jasma approved would be quieter than others.

If yours sound like the clip then that is very quiet compared to most aftermarket setups that are readily available. It would be difficult to beat that without going back oem. Granted that there are aftermarket setups that are specifically geared towards silent applications (you'll have to order these in though).

I ended up going with the HKS Hi-Power Catback.

This is what I can get under the exhaust. Previous owner can't recall the brand off the top of his head.
I made a Vid of the start up rumble today, all that is fine, driving is fine, but only when you ease of the pedal, that sound I wanna attenuate a bit.
If the overall setup can be quieter and having to import one, I might look into it.

sorry to hijack your thread eh, but this is the best I can do

Yeah it's difficult to discern the tones from the video.

There are many options available. HKS Silent, borla hush, maddad whisper etc.

One of my favorite exhaust. If it came 3" I would have probably gotten this. The 2.5" inlet would require me to do a whole new axel back fabrication. Aside from this, the local prices are currently insanely high. I saw one in the classifieds for 2,000 for the axel back only.

You also need to be careful regarding which vehicle it came from. There are two versions. The Genome that was installed on the STi and the twin barrel design for the legacy. The legacy option is much shorter and might have a different tone when installed singly on a Wrx
