been having this issue with the AC in the mzda3 and decided to do a search, and it worked for me..posting the link so that others will see also, my ac somtimes cut off in 1 and 2, tought that it was the compressor that was giving problems but after close observation saw it was the switch coming on and off and then i will have to press the ac button a few times to get it working again, or have it blast on 3...

Check this link for the information on how to do your power steering fluid flush

viewtopic.php?f=35&t=167754&p=5608999&hilit=power+steering#p5608999

For the coolant i use prestone 50/50 premixed coolant, which i change annually.

@Rainman is that transmission fluid or that's mobile 1's version of power steering fluid? If so how safe is it to use transmission fluid instead of power steering fluid?

The recommended specification for our steering fluid is Dexron 2, which happens to be transmission fluid. I have been using the Mobil 1 atf as my power steering fluid for the last three years without any problems whatsoever. You can see the excerpt from our service info below

This is a bit different to spec sheet I have. For power steering the ask for ATF M-III or Dexron III (see attachment). So I went to SS in south yesterday to get power steering fluid (I couldn't get Redline ATF anywhere, even tried all the auto places on Cipero street) so I asked for it and the guy said he not sure what power steering they use. So I ask the guy for a quart of transmission fluid and he brought a quart of Castrol Mercon V ATF. I remember reading that Mazda ATF M-V is not the same as Mercon V (see attachment) so I asked him if he is sure and he said that's what they put in the Mazda they service. Is it that they are using the wrong fluid? From what I have seen the only fluid that is recommended for ATF M-V and M-III application is Redline and Amsoil.

As long as you use an ATF that meets or exceeds the requirement i don't see a problem.

My 2010 Mazda 3 starting to act up.

For about 3 months now cold starting on mornings have been sounding horrible. Recently it even cuts off and needs to restart. However during the day it runs well.

SS said that it was a battery problem, so after 1.5yrs of ownership I change it with a Bosch and it is still cold starting badly.

I just called SS and told them that they were wrong. They said that today they spoke to other Mazda 3 drivers with same problem and they now believe it a fuel problem because of water in fuel. I told them I religiously fuel my both vehicles at St. Augustine Unipet with premium. Their response was uh...bring it in and we will flush out the fuel. :roll;

I had that problem a time and ran a diagnostic, it threw up an O2 sensor code. Maybe a cold start scan might be in order.

Personally, I wouldn't use Super and I wouldn't recommend it either, but there are guys using it in the 3 with no "immediate" effects. There are bound to be consequences in the long run, O2 sensor and such.

You looking for a complete headlight or the just CCFL rings? There are alot of shops that can mod your current headlight with CCFL rings. Just search the "Car Parts & Accessories" classifieds.

stick to premium.
halo lights, ull need to open the lights an do it. be careful with this because if its not resealed properly is leaks.

there are aftermarket ones that come with halos. around 3K or less i think.
you could buy that and keep the OEMs as a backup/sell.

So you get it at all speeds or above a certain speed? if you get the vibration only when applying the brakes it's more than likely the rotor is warped. What kind of condition are your pads? If the rotor is the culprit don't bother machining them, my personal opinion is that you're just bringing it closer to the minimum thickness faster. Get a set of OEM rotors or upgrade to some slotted rotors.
