truth is, d 3 does burn alot of gas far a small car, even though is a 1.6, it does burn more gas than my pops 1.8 1zzfe fielder, but then, mine runnin rich apparently, and southern sales have no answers beside flush d injectors, i think is our gas, i really don t think we does be gettin 95 octane for premium, to be honest, hondas are good cars and i have no idea what engine the civic comes with, or about the handling characterisitics, some ppl say the 3 too firm, it comes down to what you really want, my cus who does drive hondas say he finds the 3's steering too stiff, unlike the hondas, but i like it stiff, plus d car does stick to d corners, if u want somn nice and comfy, easy to drive, civic, if u like to gun alot and corner real hard , d 3

the civic has two engines R16A = 125hp and the R18A = 140hp, the prices of these cars have gone up in recent times. The R18A gets about 450 - 550km with economy driving style; drive it like you stole it will give you below 450km.

noshownogo, is that per 100 dollars ?
if so that is good

also have to consider the price of parts
back when i was buying my car parts for the civic was plenty more than the mazda . so changing out brake pads and shocks could run you a lot more

That is per $120 and funny you should mention parts; just Saturday i took it to classic and change rear brake pads which cost $415 after 25% discount. This is the only thing i have changed since owning the car Jan 07  Highly impressed with Honda's reliability thus far

the 3 is a small but heavy car.

even the 1.6 engine will have to work to move it.

I drove the 2.0 Mazda 3 and found it ti be lazy especially from standstill.

All mazdas IMO burn a bit more gas as compare to other brands
