Miata Project

Postby ruff neck chicken » January 13th, 2012, 12:16 pm

Tuners,

i got a mazda miata that has been neglected for a while now and its about time to get some work done with it and make it into my project.

this is just a start. the list is a bit long as i want to get it back as original and mint as possible. (becoming stance movement material would be a plus  )

my list will be updated as fast as i find more things that i need to do with the vehicle.

tune up (last was over a year ago)
changing the soft top (has a ugly patch)
either new seats/seat covers (small rips on the side)
entire suspension (a bit sloppy over wavy roads)
few interior parts to replace (dash pieces, lids)
trunk has a leak (i believe the rubbers on the soft top meeting the body)
rattling noise when i cross 120 km (have no idea yet)
repaint (original metallic black)
new wheels and tires (thinking some ole school JDM on stretched tires)
rebuilding the engine (not as powerful as it should be,seals, rubbers, gaskets etc)
all mats (would like to get back original mats)
doors not closing properly (guessing the rubbers)

any recommendations as to where i can source any of these items, have work done or how to get it done will be great. i found most of the stuff online but if i can get them in Trinidad and save that trouble...

who are the mazda techies around to talk to?

Check the folks in the Miata thread.

But you could consider a "Monster Miata"!
