I have a problem with my BJ that has been happening a few weeks now. Someone told me it's the clutch inside the tranny going thru & another said it might be the thermostat.

In the morning or whenever the car is parked for a few hours, when I put the gear in drive, the car refuses to move. Mashing X will only rev the engine and still not cause it to move. [Though if I put it in R, it will reverse like normal]. After about a minute or more, it will start to roll slowly, then eventually begin to drive normally. Definitely a transmission problem?

thats definitely not the thermostat so forget that

i suggest you get it scanned to determine the problem. Apparently not all problems result in the hold light flashing. It sounds like the valve-body and/or shift solenoids.

I know the Line Pressure Solenoid is going bad, so it's probably causing this problem too.

Well dude you have to figure out which one bad, did you change axles or remove the axles recently? Well first do a diagnostic, replace abs and you good to go, take it easy on wet roads or around corners till then.

this what i sayin. it goes faster than 220. and know i have the original shocks so i press the switch it goes up like a land rover and press it again it goes down low. "air ride." thanks to maztune. now the only thing i need to get it back to original is the part in the engine room for the cruise control to work.and soon there would bee 300 hp at 4 wheels. if the box would take it.

if its the zmde engine, super should be fine, if you have tranny, check the knock sensor on the back of the engine right below the manifold to see if it leaking black "gooey" stuff, if yes replace. other than that I suggest a diagnostic too see what is really going on in there. Also clean injectors and what spark plugs are you running?

Goodday tuners im pretty new to owning a mazda protege and recently I started messing with it (bad idea). I thought to myself why dont I put a inline fuel filter on the gas line going to the rail since I did it on my pops almera with no problems little did I know that the fuel line on these bj's are actually very thin it has a protective rubber around the real line which is a hard plastic its so thin even if you cut of the fat end of a b14 filter the line will fit INSIDE THE STR8 END OF THE B14 FILTER LOL.

anyways so the problem is i took off the special connector clips from the old line and bought a pice of hose as close to thin as the orignal line as possible i cut it almost exact same lenght now the problem is my remote start dont work and the car takes more tumbles to turn over now its like its not building the pressure it used to before i messed with the line any ideas peeps I wanna get the original line from a half cut but i just find it weird that although i have the line close to perfect as the original why should it be giving this problem the remote start works fine only when i start the car with the key and the pressure builds and if i were to start the car with the remote start lets say within 10min sometimes a couple hours one the pressure is still in the system it will turn over to test what i said if i were to open the gas cover and release the pressure and tried to start the car with the remote start it will not start and with the key it just tumbles longer than usual plz assist tuners THANKS.

no bro, i went in the bamboo today i got a original line for it it came from a 2.0 version so the connector for the rail has a 90 degree instead of a str8 connector well so far the car seems to start ok with the key but it has problems still starting with the remote start as i said the only thing i did was cut the line and now i put back the original line still nada remote start works whenever the car isnt sitting for long.

the only othr two things what happened after i cut the line to put on the filter was i took out my ir plug cleaned and gapped them at 40 thou
or and i blew a fuse the one for the rear view mirror and cigarette lighter after using one of those vaccumes inside the car i replaced the fuse the only thing what could be causing this is a weak pump , gas cover, cam sensor idk im stumped

It sounds like several events took place in addition to your fuel line change out, if the car starts properly using the key now & it doesn't start with the remote start option, then you should get a technician to check out the alarm system.... there are additional fuses within the alarm wire harness, you may have blown some or damaged the alarm unit while using the vacuum cleaner
