Sticking throttle. B6D DOHC

Anyone experienced this with the B6D engine?

Happened twice. I can deal with it, but i don't want the other drivers @ risk.
Have advised that they do not go full throttle with it (I drive it that way with no problems), but still want it rectified.

Seems once it's at operating temp, and pedal is depressed fully for more than (approx) 10seconds, It sticks in that position. and cannot be freed / released immediately.
It's not the cable, as i disconnected that, and still could not return the throttle pulley to its idle position.

I haven't gotten a chance to pull it down as yet, but I'm wondering if it's more likely external (spring, throttle pulley) or internal.

Can anyone give any advice, from experience?

most prob gunk in the throttle body when last you cleaned it out?
its sticking the butterfly valve open

^^make sure the tb cleaner used has the lube in it for the B/fly. Dollar Savers has but forget the Brand.

remove the throttle and clean it off the car dont make sense letting that gunk foul the combustion chamber.
or check a mech to do a full fuel system clean. I know one who uses the run rite system which cleans the whole combustion chamber and another mech that cleans it all on the bench then reassembles and runs a cleaner with the fuel pump disconnected

took off TB, and cleaned it out.
it was more oily from blowby than gunky. lubed both sides, and through the hole that the TPS uses.
also sprayed the spring with WD40.

havent tested it yet, but only thing i can think of if it happens again, is the TPS being a bit worn, and therefore jamming the butterfly open.

interesting keep us informed never heard of that scenario but anything could be a possibility
easy test for gunky TB
pull off the intake hose and open the throttle fully and release it if you hear a thwack then you are clear if it does make a noise then gunk is dampening the sound

did a couple full throttles with it at the "test facility" for a little less than an hour.
didn't stick.

just reminded them that there is a possibility it may happen again, so drive accordingly.
And only go full, where they are prepared to handle it's sticking again.
