Noise in 2006 Mazda 3 under back dash

I have a 2006 Mazda 3 (roll on roll off) an after a year I started getting a knocking sound from the back dash on the driver side. I have checked it out myself but found nothing that could be making that metallic knocking sound. Any ideas or can anyone recommend somewhere I can take it to?

best thing to do i go in the trunk while someone drive it around.

This could be as simple as some loose tools, jack or spare tire to a more complex noise from the suspension that sounds like it's from the back dash?

Possibly anything from sway bar bushings to rear shock mounts.

Happened in ours and it turned out to be slightly loose speakers.
