323f/ lantis alternator issue

alternator issue

battery not charging, when + terminal removed from battery measuring 13.6 volts , when connected to battery drops to 9 volts.

we replaced 2 alternators and still have the same issue.

i carried out some checks

what does the 2 wire jack on the alternator do?
when removed, volts remain constant , at 12.5 but not charging battery
check resistance on the jack , one side connected to ground, other side connected to + side of batter ( with car off)

with jack removed and car running

12v on both side of the jack ,
i measured on the alternator where this 2 wire jack suppose to be connected , 0 volts found on both terminals.

any ideas what to check or a good electrician?

if you replaced 2 alternators then the problem s most likely your battery.
