2007 2.5L M to 2010 3.0L Auto 4x4 Upgrade.

Postby spydafrog » January 27th, 2012, 4:01 pm

I've been scouring the forums for some time now, but I'd like to ask some advice.

I have a 2007 Ranger (2.5L Manual 4x4 XLT Hurricane) and I'm considering purchasing a 2010 Ranger (3.0L Automatic 4x4 XLT) with really low mileage. We talking just about 20,000km.

There's no way I'm forking out 345k for the all new 2012 Thunder, despite its awesomeness but I'm prioritizing, so I'll be more than content with the 2010 Auto 3L. What do you guys think?

Anyone have any issues with the 2010 3L Auto's?
Also should I go this way, my 08 Hurricane XLT will be for sale.

I appreciate the suggestions.

i have the thunder, its about 2 years old and no issues- only thing is that the brake pads dont last long, firm said cause the amt. of torque the 3.0 has ... i don't really believe it but what the hell.

when the new model comes to trinidad - the older stock will be sold off at a much cheaper price - check the firm when they arrive

Thanks civic minded. Yeah i don't see how engine torque has anything to do with breaking...

I've sent you a pm with a few questions. Let me know.
