Where do all get your parts ?

I am thinking about importing a euro spec ford focus and I believe it is the same thing that we have local.. so are there dealers besides the firm for filters, brakes etc ?

I heard about ERM Automotives ? Any experiences ?

You can get nearly all the parts from ebay USA. Some engine parts u have to get from England since the USA and British engines are not the same. Dont buy parts from the firm they overcharge you and you will get it much cheaper landed from USA.

I dunno about buying out of the usa as the cars are euro spec and not the same. Even the engines aren't the same.. body style is different.

I have found sites is the uk that offer all of the parts you need, it's the best bet and likely cheaper than the dealer.

Dude, I have brought part from the USA that are direct fit to the euro focus. The Only parts that dont work are some engine parts. Good thing about fords is that their parts are interchangable, I have used new parts from mustangs that work on the focus. It just that you have to do alot of researchto see what fits. All the US shocks, rubbers, brakes , electrical are standard ford parts. Also most Mazda parts will also fit, its just that u have to research

well i guess you can get interchangeable basic parts like filters and sensors in the usa, but trim... things like body trim, interior pieces and a good few other parts under the hood.. gaskets and other items don't seem to be as easy to get... at least on the Ghia model. Haven't searched for Mk1 parts either tho.

You can check ebay USA for body and suspension parts. For engine parts go to ebay UK

What's the best option when shipping from the UK to Trinidad ? DHL straight here or using one of the import companies like e-zone or websource, etc ?

The US regulars will fit, u may need an auto electrcian to mod the Jack connectors as its not the same as uk. It does work however.

I need the complete system with tracks motors and all cables. I am not sure if the us ones would line up. The electrical is minor though

I have done some research and thought I could pass the information on. For those of you, like myself who realize Ford Trinidad is trying to bore us a new A-hole, many of mechanical parts for the uk model ford focus, e.g. CB4 mine is a 2008 model PCN, you can order those part from http://www.fordparts.com in the U.S. instead of the UK.

1. To do so you'll need to do a bit or research. Go to this site.
http://eucatparts.com/?action=cat_ford

2. Find your model ford and search this data base to see what is the correct model part number for what you're looking for.

3. Go to http://www.fordparts.com and input your part number and hit search. If they have the part you can buy it.

Good Luck (TAKEN) ... Which one of you is Marco?

I've had a lot of communication with fordpartsuk.com in the UK... the customer service is very good... I am placing an order soon and plan to ship airfreight straight to TnT (DHL).

The fordparts.com is a US site, so I'd recommend the fordpartsuk.com site which is more for the fords sold here.

http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/ford_fo ... _parts_55/

you need to click on the MK2 2004+ model

fordpartsuk.com is where I have ordered from a couple times. Ship via dhl direct to the post office and you will pay 30% duty and 15%.. roughly 50% of the value of the shipped order. I'm looking for potentially cheaper shipping alternatives, but the dhl to post office is reliable, shipping was quick and they seem to have all major parts in stock.

you can pay via transfer or paypal. Literally 2 times cheaper than price at the local dealer.

Okay so I have twice shipped from fordpartsuk.com I shipped using paypal. Basically they ask you for your VIN number for your particular car and they would do the rest in ensuring the part you want is the part that is shipped. Shipping cost is less that Ford Trinidad. In fact its cheaper to buy front shocks and suspension parts via this site than going to either the company or any aftermarket dealer in Trinidad (e.g. Automotive Supplies) Shipping is fast, and usually takes on average 10 days from ordering the goods to getting it in your hands from CSF Couriers (the skybox company I use). The price is reasonable. For instance $1600 for the pair of front shocks for my PCN ford focus 208-2011 model. My wing mirror lamp container, cost me $450. These prices are final prices it includes the cost with shipping, CSF and Taxes and Duties.
Another place I get parts from is ebay. There are a couple sellers out of Israel that auction off new and used parts. They too have speedy shipping, about 8-10 days. Their shipping is usually free. They also do an excellent job packaging their shipping so you don't pay too much in local shipping duties.

the volvo s40 and mazda 3 share parts with the ford focus 2006. question is which and are they directly interchangeable. the hole pattern of the volvo is 5x108 but the rotors are substantially larger. would mazdaspeed 3 rotors fit easily? anyone ever tried these parts? thanks

you should measure to make sure.

I got a pair of rotors from fordpartsuk for the front and they ran about ttd$1750 landed for a pair of oem rotors with a set of front pads (i ordered other parts too)....guaranteed to fit !

So far, ordered parts 3 times, all works out well.
