People , I was playing around with my brother vitara and seem to get it stuck in 4wd lock ie the centre diff is locked.
When I tried to unlock it, ie gear shift in N, brake pedel mashed, front wheels straight, moving the switch from 4wdH lock to 4wd the light on the dash keeps blinking.

What to do?

Hey, i know this post is old but i'm having the same issue and the OP didn't say how he got it off.

Can someone please explain how to get the vehicle to revert from 4H Lock back to 4H.

I've done all the manual has advised i.e. Keep the wheels pointed straight ahead, the tires are not "racing" and i've turned the switch back from 4H lock to 4H driving sigificantly under 100km\h

drive it on a straight, make sure the wheels are straight, put it in neutral, switch off the vehicle, start back the vehicle, try back the switch,

this worked for me the 2 times it stuck on 4H lock
