Question for suzuki owners

Postby kerry1293 » January 5th, 2012, 4:58 pm

Ok so im thinking about buying a 2008 automatic swift sport yellow in colour and was wondering if parts are hard to find outside the firm and if the firm is the only choice are the cost of parts really high/expensive?

Yes and Yes, outside the firm genuine parts are hard to find and in the firm they are expensive. But as suzuki grows in popularity parts are becoming easier to find, it actually have some stuff in the bamboo now, and there are always aftermarket parts which you would most likely have to bring in and the illusive alternate part possibilities from another make of car that just happens to fit.
How i thought of it when i got my swift sport, if getting spare parts easily was the most important thing, then i would have bought a B14 or some other nissan

OEM parts is virtually impossible to get outside the firm as many of us just found out, and yes the prices at lifestyle are ridiculous but sadly, its our only option. As whizpig indicated there is a bit of aftermarket support for the swift, but again the price of those parts by the time you get them in your hands is gonna cost you that same arm lol.

If you get a pretty new swift sport I don't think you will have to worry about it too much, especially if ur only keeping it for a year or so.

To your final question, i'm afraid its all bad news.....the resale on suzuki's SUCKS....be prepared to make a loss ur neva gonna get back close to what you payed.

well....you'll never have half as much fun in a corolla lol but its up to you. I think you should be safe for the year and headache free. As I said tho...resale is gonna suck .
