Contact PAS Cargo...they brought one of my engine in from the U.K.

Ideally you can contact their rep in the U.K.

Bob Nunn
Excel Airfreight Limited
Hornblower House,
Galleymead Road
Colnbrook, Berks SL3 OEN
Tel: 00 44 (0) 1753 686633
Fax: 00 44 (0) 1753 686644
e-mail: bobn@excelairfreight.com

Pas Cargo has their own brokerage team (used my own though) who can do the clearing for you.

Will be expensive....around 6k - 10k

You could also check LJ Williams (# in directory)
I had imported a 2006 Grand Vitara engine in 2010 from Japan when mine had overheated
and they were the company used by my vendor.

Engine came in a crate to Medway warehouse in Mc Bean. "Clearing" it took basically one day which i did myself without a broker. Duties was IIRC 35% of the invoiced value of the engine plus a couple hundred
dollars to the warehouse. Shipping was about 5k from jp. That bieng said, it would help to cut import duties if you knew the officer in charge of customs OR .......... well you can figure out the rest about the invoice 8-)

As I have also found out recently, having a suzuki with an engine that is damaged/needs parts is a nightmare! You cant get parts NOWHERE except lifestyle and them bussin price from a side.
I even more sorry for guys like the op that need an entire engine, it sucks all round :(.

for that price you could buy a ticket go bim and pick up all brand new internals for your engine and rebuild and still have change to buy a small car!

knew someone with the same problem
their engine in their suzuki Vitara overheated costing something around 65k to replace

yunno what they did?

sr20 rwd and made the van a rear wheel drive conversion cost under 15k
powerwise its awesome, wheel spin like whoa.

but their selling price will def be affected,

ill throw up a pic of it later
