SSS original rim parameters
16 inch
6 inch wide
5*114.3
50 offset
8.2 kg

Most of us use 205/50 as it is relatively easy to find.
205 mm is about 8 inches, and fits well on the rim.

i find the 205 50 rubs slightly on the front when locking hard which i hardly do. but i dont have this problem with 205 45. i prefer the 205 50 for a softer ride though.

Stock rims are 50 offset? No wonder people change them out for other 16s.

My rims are 16x7 with a 35 offset. Almost flush with the fenders and no problem with tyres touching with 205/50. I'm only now switching to 205/50 was running 45 series for the past 4 years and wanted to try something softer on the road.
