i got it for my old diesel. so it serves a purpose for some vehicles. my diesel doesnt have a functional glowplug system. she likes a lil warmup before i get in :D

Because it's available and is(was) a "flick". :-D

Helps when you park in the sun. Leave the AC on and start your car. It has it's benefits whether cold or hot climate.

More newer cars coming with the feature from the factory. Should be way more reliable than aftermarket systems.
