forge diverter valve
bigger IC
remap
apr intake

So can we safely say by now that we can expect at least 200bhp or 170whp for the least with the above mods? Would this mean GTi type acceleration (ie. mid 6s range to 100kmph)?

Ok so the diverter valve opens when it gets a signal from the ecu or just on its own once the pressure goes too high?

ECU controls it as this is what the solenoid is for....and agent we remap this is how we are able to increase boost...

Can the present pistons be able to handle the proposed increase in power?

What about the stock injectors?

Oh Great VW Celestial Being.

The pistons in these engines are split forged and can withstand just around 350 lb ft torque from what I have seen....clutches handle up to 300tq from factory based on the dsg tune I did to my car...injectors around same benchmark also.....only when you cross that will parts need to be upgraded....

Forgot to mention stage one maps bring the 0-60mph to low 6 sec bracket in a polo gti..so our Jetta should be around 6.5 sec software only..

I have seen slips online for 300hp polo gti doing 5.5sec

power at the crank estimated based on software and mods...these dsg suffer the least drivetrains power loss due to absence of torque converter and tranny oil

VW seems to have revised the part again. Revision E is the latest now and it sports a different design. Has a piston now similar to the Forge.

New Jettas may be getting the E already as it's been out since September 2012. I wonder how the two compare.

One on the right looks like it can hold up to extreme temps under constant thrashing and quite possibly can hold more boost - which means some of us may not need to upgrade after remap; can only be certain if we had info on the spring tension behind the piston...care to dissect both?

dropped in vehicle today to have some changes made, including changing that worn clutch

this is what a worn clutch looks like
video starts in 3rd gear
slippage occurs in 4th gear (K2 clutch is responsible for R,2,4,&6) just between 3k and 4k rpm.
you'll notice the rpm jumps
gear 1,3,5,7 pull without problem.

Not sure why drchaos worrying about clutches for tho... Especially since I announced newer model clutches can withstand 300lb tq from factory... This means the clutch material has been updated...

Think the lowest we get here is RON 92 in super. Do you have the manual for your model Passat? If so check it and don't go below what it recommends.
