T&T's 1st Registered car P1 was...

Postby Greypatch » September 15th, 2009, 8:20 am

Imported into the island by one Alexander Duckham (1877 - 1945), of Trinidad Central Oilfields around 1912.

It was run on a mixture of Gasoline & Unrefined Oil from his company's oil wells in Tabaquite. Tabaquite also had a oil refinery in the 20's.

I will try to get a photo.

The car was imported from the UK.
The info I have states "It was a valveless car that Duckham had tired in the UK"

Not sure how he died at the moment.

The company also brought in some austin 20's
