Not using it as much as I would like because not getting the time basically. And i rather someone use it than it sits there doing nothing. And besides how often do you see a camera like this being sold locally?

Went for a walk this morning as I have not really been out since the camera died..bought a used one to get me through until I get a new one :)

Image

Turned the image upside down...like how the sky looks there :|

In doing so realised how forking dirty my filter is, and that because the camera is used it has the previous owners name i my EXIF Data :(

I also learnt that if you are going outside for an extended period of time and it's -2 degrees to wear more clothes than I did today.

oh and have some planes too before I delete them..

Best drag shot I've taken thus far.

Still not sure how I feel about the edit though.

Some really good photos in here!

For anyone interested,
I have a new-in-box Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens with hood and sleeve case to sell. All still in plastic, never mounted/used. Will work on cropped and full frame. I originally used this lens on a cropped frame T2i with the hopes of eventually upgrading to a full frame which I eventually did (Canon 6D).

USD$800/TTD$5200

Call/Whatsapp 723-3222 if interested.

I currently have another of this lens on my Canon 6D. Takes amazing shots!

Okay, enough of the lurking here....what do you guys think of these shots?

Setup:
Me hiding in living room with only camera lens poking through curtains. This effectively is my 'blind' - the birds can't see me even though I'm pretty close. They have been lured to the spot with a very ripe banana which is tied to some branches.

Equipment:
Canon EOS 6D | Canon 70-200mm F/4 IS USM | Yongnuo YN-622C-TX Flash Controller | Yongnuo YN-622C Receiver | Yongnuo YN-568 EX II Flash (bare, off camera on stand)

More experimenting to come!

some financial inspiration for budding photographers

http://www.buzzfeed.com/davidmack/the-phantom-lol-booth

This Is The World’s Most Expensive Photograph
And it’s not even in color.

Image
PRNewsFoto/LIK USA / Via prnewswire.com

It may look simple enough, but this work, titled “Phantom” and taken by Australian/U.S. photographer Peter Lik, has made art history, selling for an astonishing $6.5 million and setting a record for the most expensive photograph of all time.

The work sold to a private collector, who also bought two other Lik works, “Illusion” and “Eternal Moods,” for $2.4 million and $1.1 million, respectively.

“The purpose of all my photos is to capture the power of nature and convey it in a way that inspires someone to feel passionate and connected to the image,” Lik said in a press release.

“Certain textures and contours found in nature lend themselves beautifully to black and white photography,” said Lik. “The intensity of contrasting light and dark spaces was surprising, but made for some of the most powerful images I’ve ever created.”

“Phantom” was taken in Arizona’s Antelope Canyon, an area routinely catalogued by photographers, both budding and professional, because of its curved rocks and beams of light.

Wow...lol.

@Zebratt
1st, 2nd and 4th shots have good composition imo.
But too much is in focus so it's distracting to me atleast.
