here is my new gear i got on the weekend...got a couple battle 8000, a fothom 40 and some new lures...i also got a new shimano tallus rod but didnt hav a pic...

yes, got everyting down here...i bought one of that same yozuri holographic shrimp to try out...got the glow in the dark one...lol

I remember the "turtle" brand back in the days (15yrs+) when my dad and uncles bought gear at mornach store

I when out friday lost the anchor in de first stop of the day & with no live bait it just was a bad day.

racando, bachine and carite feeding around shodo...but live on that side hard to get. chaguaramas men, grab ya bait and head up!

jack crevalle were also beating a couple days well inside the basin itself (maracas basin - maracas, tyrico, damiens)...taking dead herring, live, poppers, feather head jigs :lol:

good info, i went manzan today-caught no fish ..but i rescued an escapee rabbit i suspect was brought for the curry pot lol.

Spent the weekend in Balandra and learned a couple new things,

1. Large morey eels make good cutters when grilled, but skin it first, season well and then grill it down dry

2. Turtles can be caught on rod and reel. Unintentionally hooked and landed a large green turtle from the beach, fortunately with a circle hook so he was released safely without harm before anyone around else got their hands on him.

mayaro weekend was good,but 4 big surf rods landed one small catfish for the weekend. fishing was bad in mayaro, but the lie was nice..when ah tell yuh nice...

heard some friends caught racando and small reds and one tarpon 70lbs off 4pile and la brea jetty.
