I am currently using this. Really great, especially playing battlefield, the bass is pretty heavy!

dont really like buying third party externals, you dont know the manufacturer and model of the drive inside, but they have some good reviews so im a little less apprehensive

you need to check your main board manuel and see what's the max supported per DIMM slot .

Im looking for a new desktop PC. A complete system.
Not for gaming, just for basic computing.

Any advice? Which brands are best? Where have the lowest prices?

We have laptops but just want a home desktop for the basics.

Checking out dell.com/tt. Should I order it from US or TT site? Is it cheaper to get it here? Warranty?

Are the brand name PCs better and more reliable than custom built ones?

Any advice from anyone is greatly appreciated.

i disagree....as a computer enthusiast i wud build my own system....but thats cuz i have the knowhow of solving any problems that tend to arise

problems like compatibility still do arise, BIOS bugs all sorts of stuff.....i remember when i bought my evga board years ago, there was a video corruption issue associated with that BIOS version which took them half a yr to correct an release an updated BIOS

u may say i didnt do my research well enough, but at that time the video corruption issue wasn't really highlighted in the evga forums and it was absent from the amazon reviews as well so i couldnt really have known.....to prevent the same thing happening to any one piece of the system u are building, u wud have to research each component thoroughly and look at reviews...it takes patience and the ability to understand the jargon

ready-made brand name systems like dell have already been tested with the available configurations....and hell if anything does go wrong....they offer the best warranty in the business....and for S_2NR needs.....i think thats exactly what he lookin for

so S_2NR....if u want reliability and dont wanna digup in your system too much for a basic computer....go with the dell

from those specs can anyone tell me how good my pc is?

like good parts and stuff?

end up googling the board and it came up with
• Supports Dual Channel DDR3 800/1066/1333
- 2 DDR3 DIMMs (240pin / 1.5V)
- Supports a maximum memory size up to 8GB.

SO 2 Chips? to form a total of 8gb? so two 4gb chips and just chook ett en dey? and take out my 2gb ram
