Cristiano Ronaldo is a serious doubt for the second-leg of Real Madrid's Champions League quarter-final clash with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday after the forward limped off of training on Monday.

The Portuguese star left the training ground after just 20 minutes on Monday with pain in the patellar tendon in his left knee, the same injury he suffered in the 3-0 win in the first-leg against the Bundesliga giants. Ronaldo was treated by the club's physiotherapist immediately after leaving the field and, while the club have not officially ruled him out of Tuesday's match, Carlo Ancelotti did insist earlier that he would not feature unless he was "100 per cent" fit.

"Regarding Cristiano, he feels that he is at 100 per cent, so we are confident that he will feature," the former AC Milan boss told reporters beforehand. "We will not risk him, though.

"Cristiano always wants to play and I want him to play. But he is a professional and knows when he can't."

:o :o :o
Huge blow for the return leg if CR7 doesn't feature but we still the fire power to get the job done

Real Madrid vs Bourissa Dortmund
2:45pm

a 3-0 advantage means nothing after the way we are humiliated last season at home to Dortmund….Lewa is back and will be incredibly dangerous….so it’s going to be an immensely tough match….and our defense needs to be stronger than ever….

We weren't humiliated at home. It was away. 4-1 I recall.
Sad thing to recall but I'm a bit on edge because of that.
Hope we put on a better display in Germany this time around.

Dortmund will be without midfielder Sebastian Kehl due to suspension, while goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller is a doubt due to an arm injury alongside a hefty list of long-term absentees that includes Ilkay Gundogan, Marcel Schmelzer and Sven Bender.

They only have 5 players from last year squad today..... :|

On to the semis but still cause for concern. CR7 absence was immensely felt & those two defensive mistakes proved costly. Iker was by far Real's best man on the night with some superb goalkeeping again but alot has to be done for the remaining games.

Is club and country cr7 carrying on his back yuhno

its been a while coming, I was reading cr7, ibra, messi picked up somewhere close to 3000mins each of game time in the last two years or so.

At their level with the added world cup pressure it was bound to happen.

RM would be without CR7 for the 1st leg but that game will be played at the Bernabeu on April 23 before going to Munich on April 29.

The toughest test of the season is upon us. HALA MADRID !!!!
