Advice needed on DSLR Camera.. Which is better

Hey guys need your advice on the purchase on a DSLR camera, i am buying from amazon and don't know much about the equipement and there differences. Looking to start this photography business small. I am looking at the Nikon D3000 DSLR or the Canon Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera. Can you guys in the photography world give me a comparisson of the two and if you own any of the two, how does it perform.
