Poor Chanders on 87...batting with one set of imps...no frikking support!

Wouldn't be surprised if he's stranded before making his century...yet again!

Would be a real injustice for him not to get a hundred there because of poor support. He could have been one of the few ppl to have twin hundreds at Lord's if the WI had better batsmen (Lord's 2004 when he made 128* and 97*)

^ Based on the reports Chanders look for it by taking a single of the first ball of the last over of the day and allowing Edwards the strike for almost a full over. Like him or hate him Chanders really is one selfish MoFo!!

Game over. If it's any consolation W.I...or should I say Chanders and Samuels pushed the game to 5 days.

One suspects that if the top order didn't fail for the umpteenth time we would have stood a better chance.

There were better performances from Barath and Bravo in this match but take that with a pinch of salt.

As for K. Edwards and Powell they were utter failures in this match. If the higher ups are considering their replacement I really can't see who they could bring in. They could probably go with Deonarine and move Chanders up the order, but that still leaves them a batsman short.

Won't hold my breath though...

Sarwan and Gayle would be fine for the remainder of the test series.

Sarwan not coming back for West Indies just so. County Cricket for him. He said he was ill treated by the WICB. Usual thing with them

Typical West Indies test match. When there seems to be a little glimmer of hope *poof* its gone in flash. :|

Bring back Gayle for Powell and bring in Deonarine for Edwards. (Don't even know why Edwards is even VC, when Ramdin is really supposed to be)
Gayle and Barath to open, Bravo at 3, Chanderpaul at 4, Samuels at 5 and Deonarine at 6.
For too long now WI have been experimenting with those young guys at the top 4 and scores have often always been 4 wickets down without even reaching cross 100 total. If Gayle can bat and steady the upper order and have Chanderpaul at 4, I'm sure WI could have 200+ 3rd and 4th wicket partnerships once Gayle is there and Chanderpaul moves up the order.

A key point for me was the ass like shot played by Sammy at a point in the game when he supposed to know what was needed, Broad was delirious, that he actually got a wicket off of that ball.
