Weaving plastic rattan strips would be very time consuming for manual labour. You can buy the rattan strips but the problem is weaving it. So u may not get any place locally who will repair it that way.

But Amazon sells Rattan Cane Webbing in rolls so bring down a few and check an upholstery place. It should be easy for them to just rip out and replace all the old rattan weaving on the chair with the new webbing in a double layer and staple it up with some wood supports.

Blind Welfare does it both North and South, very reasonable works no complain thus far with all the works they did for me.

so just drop the old frame and they will weave in something to make it useable again?
what material do they use and can it take wetting ?

Yes they use Straw material they will advise on caring if it has to be placed outside and getting wet
