Maracas magnetic field myth?

Anybody ever experience this? I remember my dad telling me about it as a child but he never knew exactly where it's claimed to happen, is it even true?

hear alot of ppl saying that this is true....

never tried it....all I concerned with is getting to the beach....

It's inconceivable that a magnetic field would be causing this, otherwise your keys and other smaller magnetic items would be getting pulled with much greater ease. As the book says, it's probably an optical illusion. Maybe caused by the surroundings giving a false impression of an upward incline. If anyone tries it, make sure to walk with a spirit level to put on the road. If it really rolls upwards, well that's a mystery that needs more investigation.

I know the place where this is supposed to happen, but to test it is tricky ... don't know where the exact point is to do the roll test from
