That controller is adequate, but there are two types that looks identical, try to get the rechargeable version. I sell them both.

other boxes like what? be more specific. We have been selling matricom products for over 4 years they brand is one of the best in terms of support, firmware updates and reliability. Anyone interested in the air mouse can pay an additional $170 for it. The Q has been out for 11months and so far they are improving the firmware frequently, like I mentioned earlier current firmware 1.4 is running very good and is very stable.
General Specs of the Q:
Amlogic s802 Quad Core CPU
Octocore Mali-450 3D GPU
Memory: 2GB DDR3
Storage: 16GB Flash Storage
Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat
USB Ports Two (2) USB 2.0
Ethernet
10/100 Full Duplex Port
Wi-Fi Broadcom 5G 802.11 Dual Band
Bluetooth 4.0 Low Power, full speed

When you can show me an android device that has better specs than this for a similar price

I run a few boxes and to confirm your specs are good, I found as mentioned before the modified build system and rom coll... can't run effectively on that box....just did one each for two tuners

Community builds are recommended to be installed mostly on pcs and macs one reason being storage limitations of android devices.

Got that wireless keyboard over the weekend. Paid 12 bux on ebay. It works pretty good so far. The touchpad is pretty sensitive and the keyboard itself has a nice feel in the hand.

As for the box, I installed mobdro as a stand alone app and not a kodi extension and its working awesome.

I did the same, but for some reason no content is showing. All the menus, categories etc are showing but it's all empty, no preview tiles or anything.

1400$ for a box with apps is crazy, I agree. On the other hand, 1400$ for a box, an air mouse and a modified platform is worth it.
