Jus wanted to hear u guys opinion on wether I shud purchase a 4x2 or 4x4 vehicle in terms of additional maintenance required by de 4x4 or any other pro or cons. Not really into the offroading thing but i am of the opinion that it is better to have it an not need it than to need it an not have it.

Any thoughts wud be appreciated.

(Vehicle is manual)

With the 4x4, you just have one additional differential and the transfer case to change oil periodically. Outside of that, maintenance is the same.

so there should be no significant difference in maintenance cost. how often do these require changing and how expensive are they??

if you could afford the 4x4 option over the 4x2 then cost of maintenace will be the least of problems.

no problems, sorry if i phrased it wrongly. the only additional is ~$1000 extra for transfer case and front diff oils betweeen 30-50 000kms intervals. Shouldnt be a burden really.
