I changed my rear diff. oil recently and used royal purple 80w 140.

Paid 175 plus vat for one quart.

I used the mobile 1 Synthetic gear lubricant LS $100 ah quart

I also used the Mobil 1 Synthetic gear lubricant LS 75W90 in my gearbox & transfer case. For the rear diff. I used Valvoline 80W90 & the front diff. is using Castrol 90 gear oil.

where are you getting the valvoline to buy? was thinking about using the castrol 75 w90 for my front diff, tc and gear box which in all is 9 bottles

I live in Barbados. Automotive Art is the distributor here. What vehicle do you want to use the Castrol 75W90 on?

Using Gulf Super Duty XLE on the hilux. Runs ok and van not sluggish. So far on my second oil change with Gulf.

Used same oil in my bt-50 for about 40,000kms before i sold it- no issues whatsoever.

May try the Gulf synthetic at my next oil change.

I changed the oil on my QD32 Frontier. The mileage was 127,260kms. I'm using Castrol CRB Viscus 15W40. Its replacing the CRB Turbo in Barbados. This oil has improved technology in it.

Using the Pentosin High Performance 5W40 Synthetic now in my Hilux, engine slightly quieter and sounds just as it did when it was brand new (now doing 43000kms).

Also changed the diff and transfer case to Redline 75W90 Synthetic and did an injector clean as well. The vehicle is much more responsive now.

How many quarts did the gear box take?

From what I read in the owner's manual for my Frontier it said the front diff can use a multigrade or monograde gear oil. The rear diff must be LSD only oil & gearbox & transfer case I can use 75W90. My gearbox took 8.5 quarts.

Did you use an additive in your gear box?
Or diffs?

Using Amsoil SAE 15W-40 100% Synthetic in my 2010 3.0L Automatic Ranger.
Strict change of oil and filters every 5000km; no top up necessary between changes. Works great.

$330TTD for 2.5 Gal. Anywhere selling cheaper?

Was considering the Royal Purple SAE 15W-40 but not too keen on switching.
