Ok I have a e25 wit a zd 30 engine. Recently I started getting real hard start. An also getting a high scent of diesel. But not seeing any on rd even if I park up overnight. Once the van off for more than roughly 6 hrs, it will tumble like about 8-10 time before starting. After it start it have a set of white smoke. I scan the van nothing coming up. Went by several mechanic and dem don't seem to know what going on. Any help or any experience mechanic with this engine will be very much appreciated.

Dad's van used to hard start when the battery was coming to an end, how old is the battery? Could the white smoke be water vapour? Have you tried a fuel treatment to see if it helps?

I tried fuel treatment. Still no improvement. Also I am getting a high scent of diesel. Especially if tank is low or if the ac is on. The battery is new

^ Oye Google mech.... Let others with proper experience and advice advise the man please.

Here's what dude, check glow plugs and your primer pump.... Most of the times the heating element wears out over time cause the hard start when cold and the primer pump seals giving out as well.
When last did you actually service the injectors and diesel pump? Those three things cause hard start, loss in fuel economy and smoke

Or faulty injector/injector seal, hence why I asked if you ever serviced injectors

Gee I don't think I'd ever be able to dethrone you for most useless posts.

Anyhow I was merely trying to help the guy put based on what I knew happened to our vehicles. When that didn't work I Googled and posted the findings.

Triad is more experienced than me so go with what he says especially as some of what he said with respect to the glow plugs correlates with what's posted in the link.

Tuners thanks for all yr advice. I ended up removing all covers (panel van na) took purple blaster and cleaned the engine. The problem is that it has 4 line leading to engine (not injectors line). One is leaking by the connection. The difficult part now is that I have to remove starter and air intake pipes to reach it. So that will be done in the morning. Thanks again tuners.

Its really a nuisance now... Any help?

Btw the vehicle is rarely parked on an incline

Had a cefiro with a similar issue and it turned out that the probe in the fuel tank had burned out and had to be changed. Maybe the navara has a similar system? I really am not too sure.

Guys purchased original Air, Oil and Fuel Filters from RHD Technologies in Maraval for a fraction of the cost compared to Massy.

Still not 100% certain about the wheels, thinking of painting them either a matte black or the colour of the siderails and offgrey. What are your thoughts, negative or positive reviews welcomed.

I like the look of the wheel, but i'd go with a darker color, but not black. I do like gunmetal:

Maybe you could plastidip them and see if you like the look.

There is a bracket on both sides of the front, the right side could be worn down to metal, hence making the noise.. Somewhere on the Both sides of the Radiator

Thanks for the advice. Wow Maybe I go back with the stock wheels and that paint job, that looks pretty good.

Need some advice on getting new tyres as the rainy season is upon us!

Whats the best tyre to buy for the Nav in terms of performance and price tradeoff ?.....I mainly do Highway driving!!!

Checked two popular tyre shops and they are offering these options in 275 70 16....Just want some good advice because you know some of these shops tell you anything for a sale!
