Nice.....when this was installed does the back swing when turning corners or does it hold out the road better in terms of more weight in the rear? Also how come you dint weld to chassis instead of bolting on?

need info for the guy who did the bumper, cost etc... please post /PM

Want to get one for the front as well to cater for a winch eventually.

Why did you not consider making a rear pipe bumper to wrap around the existing OEM bumper?

So I've been receiving lots of PM's about this topic. The bumper was fabricated by Kennicon Engineering. As some of you may know, these guys do very good work. With that being said, expect to pay for quality.

The original bumper was removed as per my choice and for the look I wanted. It was bolted on to the chassis as per my choice for easy swapping in the event the vehicle was sold and the new owner wanted the stock bumper. Ironically, the vehicle was sold with the iron bumper featured.

The materials used were supplied by myself and were schedule 40 hard iron. There was no change in the handling of the vehicle.

I think this covers most of the PM's I've been receiving. At the end of it all guys, Kennicon can do whatever you want and build to your specs. I did it the way u wanted cause it was my choice - likewise yours as well.

Give then a call and expect good quality work ! You won't regret it

Got this fabricated and installed. Workmanship is excellent and yes its hand painted with industrial black (gonna get banged, scratched, hit etc). Took about 1.5 days to do and made from carbon steel. 3 inches diameter is the big bar, and the little ones are 2.5. Shackles, tow hitch etc etc...It actually stabilized the vehicle alot and improved handling.

Pulling, towing, monkeying around, hits from behind - ooooch

New feature added also according to the installer - "hit while reversing stop" :D

And for those of you wondering - its bolted straight unto the chassis, number plate lights are back on like normal etc etc. This is where its bolted:

Bwah ha ha ha ha

Great addition.

Hello Everyone,

For those who may be interested, I had a very similar bumper made for my BT50 of the same model. It was made by Kennicon engineering out of the same schedule 40 piping as shown here. I dont have use for it since i didnt install it in time and ended up selling the van. Only thing it needs is a coat of paint.
PM Me for more info.

Nice. Pics? I am the brainchild behind the bumpers at kennicon. Cant remember taking a bt50 job. But I know someone with a similar vehicle looking for a rear bumper. Pic would be nice and price.
