tbx b2500 gearbox help

Postby bernmyster1 » August 27th, 2011, 12:37 pm

hey guys. i have a tbx mazda b2500 4x4.
Recently my third and fourth started grating when putting it in gear with the clutch all the way down. If I ease it slowly into gear I can get it in pretty smooth.
I know its the synchros that goin for the 3rd and 4th.
Can anyone tell me if it would be cheaper to drop the box and change the parts?
What parts would I have to get? Is it the synchros and copper washers or are they the same thing? Dogs have to change?
Or would it be better to just get a foreign used gearbox? Where can I get one and how much?
Thanks for any help.
