WTK...Foam Cell Shock Absorber.

Postby Shortie » August 14th, 2012, 7:48 pm

Wanted to get some feed back to see if anyone has these installed and how do they work i.e Ride Quality......

I came across some 41mm shocks....would these fit on a stock vehicle ( Ford Ranger).

any advice would be appreciated.....

in a nutshell:
- firmer ride than stock
- but absorbs shocks much better than oil-filled
- maintains a smoother ride over larger bumps
- more expensive than oil-filled
- usually in aftermarket applications like Ironman or ARB shocks

FIRMER ride?? what manner of masochistic basket case will want a FIRMER ride on a ranger?? it already comes standard with the ride quality of a bow legged horse... with a limp!

lol - ok ok... when i meant firmer ride, i meant that it's not as harsh as the stock shocks, yet it soaks up the bumps better. A bit of a mix between good shock absorption yet firm ride.

All the firmness without the harshness.
