Hey, I did the belt change today. It is really easy, in all to remove and install the new belt it took not more than half hour. I did not expect it to be that easy and when I removed the belt I took it to a parts place and got a BRANDO replacement. Paid $145 for the belt.
You donot have to slacken any bolts and nuts. There is a welded 19mm nut on the tensioner.
1) Remove the stone shield under the van there is six 10mm bolts.
2) Using a 19mm close end offset spanner( because of the angle and space of the nut it is way easier) turn the welded nut clock wise while under the van so you will be turning to your right. The belt will drop off the drive pulley a bit, remove the belt.
3) Install the new belt, I left the alternator pulley for the last.
4) Go back under the van and turn the 19mm nut to the right again to release the tension.
5) Here is where you will need someone to place the belt on the alternator pulley. The women home at the time helped me there, it was that easy.
Thats it you are done.
