the speedometer worked the first time we drove the van and it never worked again , after i looked i found the problem was the sending unit itself so anyone know where i could get one of these, well i just need the plastic gear on the end

yea i should have said its from the RB25DET  all my searching and i think only this RB box uses this gear . i have four (4) other speed sending units home two RB20 (automatic) and one YD25 and one ZD30 and all are different to this one

I guessing the original diesel tach wasn't compatible with the rb.....

no ... but it would have been nice to keep all original gauges for a clean look but everything else works on the original cluster oil light ,charge light, temp gauge, fuel gauge, except the speedometer

well my brother in law is the full owner of the frontier now ( i cant afford to keep three vehicles) . but i still do the work on it and still get to drive it :) so updates will continue .

bought some goodies a HKS type 1 turbo timer and a new bosch fuel filter just like these from HYPER V RACING good guy .. and i must say the fuel filter made a huge difference from the cheap sakura (or however you spell it ) have not installed the timer yet

well its been a LONG time but the frontier is now lowered ,not by much but it has transformed the ride ,handling and looks too..

i re indexed the torsion bars along with new upper control arm bushings and overhauled the rear brakes with new cylinders and shoes ( the old pistons were rusted in the cylinders so no rear brakes  )

you probably cant see the difference in the pics but its at least 1 1/2 " lower all around and looks soo much better
