Can the Amsoil Severe Gear work in the Hilux Front/Rear Diff??

2011 model KUN26R 4x4 auto

the front diffs are open they use 75W90 oil
the rear needs a LSD specific oil ...(usually a 75W140)

Get one with the lsd additive

There is castrol
Mobil 1
Valvoline
Belray
All with the lsd additive.


The amsoil is compatible, but it doesnt have the additive, you need to buy the amsoil slip lock separately.
This can cause chatter on the diff on sharp corners

You can still use it
I know a lot of men using the amsoil with no issues

Or if you ”iffy”, get a tube of the slip lock additive
