straight pipe exhaust

Postby ranger » October 27th, 2014, 8:29 am

Not sure if this was discussed before, I did a search and did not find much. Anyone running a straight pipe exhaust system on their turbo diesel? If you are would you recommend this?

it's not loud at all inside the cabin, when at idling it's also just as loud as it was when i had a stock exhaust. under acceleration tho outside sounds louder, very meaty and you can hear the turbo much louder as well (sounds great), i am however contemplating putting a free flow muffler just to minimize the grunty sound. It cost me about 3k in tacaragiua.. i can't remember the name of the shop that did it for me but the fellas name is Russell.

I did a full 3" when I had a Ranger....loved it, wasn't loud and it gave me some extra grunt.
