Installing a drain plug in tank in Hilux & another filter

Postby newto4x4 » January 15th, 2015, 10:11 am

Water in the diesel tank. When the mechanic went to drain the tank he said there is no drain plug and he has to drop the tank but I had just filled up. So I will use the vehicle untill 1/4 full and then drop the tank. I want to install a drain plug when I drop the tank, anyone ever did this?
Also I want to install another fuel filter, any advice will be appreciated.
It is a 2.5 Toyota Hilux 2008.

the Nissans had 2 for a long time now. Always wondered if and how much an additional filter and assembly setup would require a higher fuel pressure to compensate
