Diesel Boyz 3rd Annual Visit to Icacos
Route Information
Meeting Point and Times:
KFC / Pizza Hut Car Park in Gulf View, La Romaine
@ 7:00AM
We leave PRECISELY at 7:30AM ! !
Route:
South and West along the South Trunk Road.
South and West along the Southern Main Road.
South along Colombia Road.
The road is slight to moderate direction changes and slight elevation changes along 2nd and 3rd class roads.
The culmination of this run will be the off road segment, east along the beach.
The length of this run will be determined by the time we reach on the beach.
Note:
This is a DIRECT run to the beach at Punta Del Arenal, Icacos.
There will be NO stops only for emergencies.
Please be forewarned.
There are bars and some eatteries along the route but we really wont be stopping.
Other Information:
1) This run involves significant offroading. Please come prepared with ALL necessary recovery gear:
tow straps, chains, rope, shackles, common sense, shovels, and other tools which may be necessary during a recovery.
2) This run is to a remote part of Trinidad. The drive is lengthy. There are little or no restaurants, restrooms, etc. Please be advised accordingly
3) Walk with all equipment necessary for the absolute enjoyment of this run, EXCEPT alcohol.
Possible equipment list:
Cooler with drinks, water, etc
Eats and snacks
Towels and a change of clothes or at least a t shirt
Camera
Sun block (or tanning), bug repellant
Medical supplies - pain killers, nausea tablets, bandages, etc.
Water to wash off, if necessary.
Beach chairs and umbrellas.
WHATEVER YOU FEEL TO THROW IN YOUR TRAY ! ! !
