well that needle will be attracted to the E cause from the time you mash out espcially with the free flow the 20v will gulp

i spend like 280 per week and the muffler to noisy

on any vehicle, with improved excavation of the exhaust gases from the cylinders, it leaves more room for air/fuel to fill the chamber to make more power, ergo, yes, you will burn a little more gas

that and the fact that you'll like the sound and go revving all over the place unnecessarily....but u calm down after a while

how many kilometres r u getting to a full tank before and after your piping upgrade?

i did the piping the da y after i got back my car from the conversion so wouldn't know and my speedo doh

Whether it's a 20V or a GA engine, more gas will be burned with any upgrade to exhaust. Some vehicles will burn extra than some, and driving habits will come into play.

Premium gas finishes a bit faster under extreme driving conditions.

from ur name do you have an ae91 if so to my knowing these cars don't have that big of a gas tank so $280 is alot unless you drive for no reason

^^^ this is what I'm thinking....$280 on premium in an AE91 is like almost two tanks of gas a week....unless u doing some weird distances like Cedros to Grande at WOT daily, the long way, that's ridiculously poor economy dude

it takes ~$140 to fill me up from the last quarter tank mark and I getting ~300km right back at that mark

have a proper tune-up done (plugs n' wires, air filter, clean injectors blah blah blah) and see what difference it makes

my sharkmouth burns my premium fast but i know its because my injectors need cleaning. i drive alot and well i have a vvl neo but i get more than a week out of my 60litre tank so really get a good tune up

once u upgrade your exhaust u should expect to burn more gas.... more flow.. more power.. more gas...

i changed my silencer and its sounding sweet and i think its burning less i filled up today and went pos in traffic with ac then over the lady young into traffic with ac and back chaguanas andthen to grand bazzar and my tank on full mark still

cuz when I round up to the nearest dollar when the nozzle clicks I get ~100km to the first quarter tank....when they fill right up, I get 140km~160km to the same level

how to get back my speedo working hook. do i need a cable or something and which part to the gearbox does it go.

the 20V transaxle comes with an electronic speed sensor, so the question now is whether your speedometer on your instrument cluster is cable driven or electronic?

if it's cable type, you'll just need the old cable speedo gear from any 4A tranny/g'box and swap with the electronic unit on your transaxle and use the appropriate cable for your model car

OR

you can swap with an instrument cluster from an AE9*GT or other foreign used AE91 that has an electronic speedometer and have it wired up (the GT dash is preferred cuz it has a 9000rpm tachometer, voltmeter etc. on it) ...any electrician worth his salt should be able to do it

free flows do enhance the performance of the car but Im not so sure bout the fuel efficiency

A free flow exhaust does burn more gas compared to the stock restricted one, but you have to take into account how you drive.

When you cross/drive above 3000rpm it burns more fuel. <--tested on two b14's where each had CAI and headers, where the only difference with the two being a free flow set up.

Oh...by the way...a free flow exhaust is really noisy lol
