I getting a humming noise when my legacy reaches bout 60km/h i dont think is the bearing cause when u drive slow u not hearing it. Any ideas

since i got my car i had that problem

only heard it on d highway.. or over 80km

last week i changed the back right wheel bearing... (thats where i heard the noise coming from) after that no more noise

got it at massy for $800. bearing and hub, was the last one in stock.

Sorry for all the question ehh but u seem to know a lot

Seeing that my car is non turbo would it make a difference if i used the subaru transmission fluid and diff oil or the red line??

^^^ subaru recommends to ATF HP for the legacy's in particular bcuz the tiptronic transmission is very sensitive to viscosities. On other forums, people use redline, amsoil and whatnot...but those oil companies do not endorse such action. I went and researched this myself. Stick to OEM as best as u cud :wink:

It's a group effort (LGT) we learn a lot from each other... :wink:

There are alternatives but as jadakiss said it's better to stay with the OEM.

i.e. the Idemitsu..and its considerable cheaper than the subaru ATF HP...but as the guys said..stick with OEM if u can help it
