WTK: THE SUBARU HATCHBACK......

Postby eurotuner » February 1st, 2011, 6:23 pm

Hey pplzzz,

Gonna FINALLY get look at one of those Subaru hatch's on saturday,
i jus want a something small, preferably a hatch, cuz that my thing and i work in Woodbrook so parking is an issue and good fuel eco

I checked out the
MAZDA 3( liked it the most)
TIIDA...no
SWIFT SPORT...ok, but, fuel eco is not the best and i find the materials look to cheap on d inside

So i finally getting chance to check the Subaru on saturday :)
Basically, i just wanna know from the local tuners, what they think about it from experience

thanks a millzzz

Local Impreza hatch is dead, test drove one and after a minute I just zoned out, car is boring and definitely not worth the price N&M calling for it. I much prefer the Impreza S-GT which has the turbo motor and you can get one from Crism for about $188,000. They had one and it was in mint condition kicked myself for not buying it then. Better equipped than what N&M selling .... this would be my choice. As for service..it's the same engine as the Legacy Turbo so lot's of ppl out there to service it & supply parts....would not have to go back to the stealership

The 1.5 Impreza is just another commuter car...........to get from point A to point B. It is NOT a performance car. As such, may be good on gas.
I agree with the analysis given by ek4ever. Don't understand the high N&M price. Japanese used car dealers don't ask no big price for them neither.
Mazda 3, Swift 1500, NZE Corolla, and Tiida have better performing engines.
Remember, not all the 1.5 hatches are AWD. The chassis # starting with GH2- are 2WD.
.......And the Impreza sedan is called the Impreza Anesis.
Regards,
RR.

The base model impreza is just another commuter car...not a performance car.
As the person above said, the other manufacturers may have better performing engines. What you do get different is All Wheel Drive, exceptional handling and well...a subaru!
Good luck making your decision.

Oh ok Guys
thanks for the info, its the smallest in the class for sure
but very comfortable!!

And yes it jus to go from point a-b (for going to work)
Was just kinda concern about parts avaiablity,
as i know Subaru is going back to there original sedan look
and stopping the hatches....so was concerned, cuz i really liked it after sitting in one

^^Wouldn't worry about that....before Subaru was adamant that they weren't going to make a sedan version of the Impreza....and within months of saying this changed their mind and said a sedan will be offered....talk about a 180

got mine 1 year now, works great dont see what all the fuss about.
Acceleration a bit slowish unless u use the tiptronic but top speed is on par and in some instances better than most 1.5. Gas usage is pretty good, much like my bro's B15. Overall a pretty decent ride well worth the price but not for the guys who into alot of speed.
