yakuza...probably don't think you remember mey but...i had asked you for a upgrade for a b11..u said swaping spindles to b15 and p11 11'' rotors and calipers to b15spin's...den i remembered mey partner who repairs crashed vehicles had a pair of p11 complete spindles with r and c..and i measured the rotors outer dia and they were 10''...is there a special model p11 to ask for the 11'' rotor..as well as would they work with the calipers of the 10'' rotor? and any big difference being 10'' to 11''?..cuz i could just use the 10''..as he has them doing nothing.

the 11" rotors came from the VVL P11. krack korn on the classifieds was selling a set. if you getting the 10" rotors take them. Like right now i have B14 calipers on my B12, but i'm using the B13 rotors that are bigger than the B14's. bigger rotors will help with a wider surface area for better stopping and better heat dissipation. it all depends on your application and the kinda power output from your engine, your driving style, brake system setup (upgraded mc and booster, ss braided lines, rear discs). you switch around and use what you have. for e.g. if you decide to go with the 10" rotors due to ease of availability and a cheap price, you can compensate for the smaller rotor by using rear discs and a master cylinder with a larger bore . Realtime Performance has a mc and booster from aa P10 right now that has a 15/16" bore.

yakuza would be able to tell you if the VVL calipers are interchangable with the normal rotors and if fabrication is necessary.

*awaits yakuza's response*

The 11" rotors came on the SR20VE equipped P11, U14, and Y11, go with the 10" rotors and calipers, as zedsqd said, they are easier to obtain , and you can't go wrong with the price you getting them at.

this is a boss thread for nissan tuners.

i have a question to ask and some info to share:

can b13 spindles bolt up on a k10 march? if not whats the problem?

i know k11 spindles bolt up and from there the caliper and rotor options are many.

only the best K10 ball joints and the rack ends are much smaller the the B13, so bolting up would be an issue, if you know for sure that the K11 spindles will bolt up without any problems, and there are bolt on upgrades for those spindles, then go with that.

angel_player thanks man.

(b11 brake upgrade)I got the n16 setup complete spindle with rotor and caliper as well as the 15/16 ms-cy...i just fitted up a old shock to the spindle an saw two things..first is that the where the spindle bolts to the shock it's about a 1/4 thicker is just to machine down the spindle and i one of the bolt holes on the shock is about a quarter inch off does it matter which one can be slotted? top or bottom?

^c32 i believe the s13 spindles work there. once it works, u could use r32 setup...having the rotors redrilled to 4x114.3 and the calipers would bolt right up...

the stock booster and mc (13/16'' rite?)will work but not great at all it probabli be the same effect as you are getting now.....now for that set up that you plan to use, you should get atleast a 15/16'' master cylinder. now b14's has two type of mc setups, the b14's that come with the abs has a 2 line setup like the p11 primera, so you can use a primera 15/16'' mc and it would work well. if you have the non abs b14 then you have a 4 line mc. this one is a little harder to get. you can use the r11 presea's 7/8'' mc (wouldnt be so great either but better than wat u have and is easily available). there is a model of the u13 bluebirds that came with the same type of four line mc that the b14 non abs comes with and this mc is a 15/16'' so this would be excellent. hope this helps dude.....

If you running big brakes, don't bother with using the B14's or the R11's mc and bb. the bore size is the same - 7/8". If you don't have a big brakes upgrade, you can keep your mc and bb and you'll save some money.

Like Black Start said, be very careful of the number of lines out of the mc AND that the bb is a double diaphragm. The single diaphragm booster can be identified by the outer, round wall of the booster that is one smooth transition from the back to the front...

...as compared to the double diaphragm booster that has a stepped transition on the outer wall between the faces...

The bore size of the mc is also casted onto the cylinder. Look out for it when you shopping. See just under the reservoir in the pic.
