New guy here with an F150

Postby Upcfordcruiser » November 17th, 2010, 10:51 pm

Hello!! I guess I should start by saying up front I don't live in Tnt but my family does. I live near Houston Texas. I have been to Tnt twice this year (after a 20 year hiatus) and have fallen in love with the stunning countryside. Eventually plans do call to relocate to Trinidad and all going well, may even bring my truck down with me. It's a bit large for a passenger vehicle but I think it'll manage.

It's a 2001 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 with the 5.4L Triton V8 engine, 4 speed automatic and 3.55 gears in both axles. Currently it is stock but I've always loved modding my vehicles so it won't be stock for long. Plans call for a suspension lift and 35" or larger tires.

Nice van! Must sound tough with that big V8..esp if you get an exhaust system installed.

Me thinks you need a detail though...major swirling in that first pic

Thanks, I detailed it two weeks ago but it's been raining here so it looks like I didn't do a thing lol but yea the paint was swirled up pretty good, but it's nice now

Going to install a 3" body lift first, and then go with a 6" suspension lift, which should give me enough room to clear some 37" Super Swamper Boggers. I want to go real big on this truck :)

You ever drove a deisel midsizer? like e.g a Hilux or L200 or Navara? i think they may surprise you, also, if you are coming it back it might cheaper to sell the f-150 anf buy a new truck down here as they will tax you an arm and a leg because it's a v-8.
